Replace Background removes the existing background from an image and replaces it with a new scene generated from your description. The subject stays the same, only the background changes.

How to replace a background

Select an image on the canvas

Click on the image you want to edit. The selection toolbar appears.

Click the edit options

Select the background replacement option from the toolbar or ask the agent in chat.

Describe the new background

Tell the agent what background you want. Be specific about the setting, lighting, and mood.

A new image appears

A new image with the replaced background appears on the canvas. The original is preserved.

What you cannot do

  • You cannot keep part of the original background while replacing the rest. The entire background is replaced.
  • You cannot use a specific photo as the new background. The replacement is AI-generated from your description.
