Edit Text in Images detects all text in an image, lets you change the wording, and regenerates the image with your new text while keeping the original fonts, colors, and layout intact. Use this for updating text on product mockups, marketing graphics, menus, signage, or any image that contains text you want to change.

How to edit text

1

Select an image on the canvas

Click on an image that contains text. The selection toolbar appears.
2

Click Text Edit

Click Text Edit in the toolbar. The system scans the image and detects all text regions with bounding boxes.
3

Modify the text

Each detected text region appears as an editable field. Change the text in any field. You can edit one or multiple regions at once.
4

Click Apply

The AI regenerates the image with your text changes while preserving everything else: fonts, colors, layout, and non-text elements.
A new image with the updated text appears on the canvas. The original is preserved.

Example use cases

Update a menu image with new prices

Fix a typo on a promotional banner

Update a social media graphic with new stats

Text Edit on the canvas uses fewer credits than asking the agent to regenerate the entire image. For small text changes, always use the canvas tool.

What you cannot do

  • You cannot change the font or font size. The AI matches the original style.
  • You cannot add new text where none exists. You can only modify text that was detected.
  • You cannot edit text in videos. This tool works on images only.
  • You cannot reliably detect handwritten text. The detection is optimized for printed text.
