This guide walks you through creating a presentation from scratch. You describe your topic, configure a few options, and the agent builds a complete slide deck for you.
1

Select Presentation as your artifact type

On the home dashboard, click the artifact picker and select Presentation. This tells the agent you want a slide deck, not a document, image, or website.
2

Configure your slide options

Before typing your prompt, set the options that appear below the artifact picker:
  • Slide count - Choose a range: 4–8, 9–12, 13–16, 17–20, or 21–24 slides.
  • Theme - Choose Professional (data-driven, charts, clean layouts) or Visual (graphics-heavy, bold imagery).
These options shape the structure and style of the deck the agent creates.
3

Describe your presentation

Type your topic and any details in the input bar. The more context you give, the better the result.
Example prompts:
  • “A pitch deck for a SaaS startup that helps restaurants manage inventory. Target audience is seed-stage investors.”
  • “Quarterly sales review for Q1 2026. Include revenue, new customers, churn rate, and next quarter goals.”
  • “A 12-slide onboarding presentation for new engineering hires at a fintech company.”
You can also attach files for context. Upload a brief, a previous deck, brand guidelines, or any reference material using the + button. The agent uses these as context when building your slides.
4

Answer the agent's questions

Before building anything, the agent asks you a short set of questions to make sure it gets the deck right. It may ask about your audience, your preferred tone, specific sections you want included, or data points to highlight.Answer these questions. The agent uses your responses to shape the structure, content, and style of the deck.
5

Review the plan

After your answers, the agent shows you the slide-by-slide structure it plans to build: what each slide covers, which layout it uses, and how the content flows. Review this outline before the agent generates the actual slides. If something is off, tell the agent what to change. It adjusts the plan before generating.
6

Wait for generation

Once you approve the plan, the agent generates the slides. You see progress in real time as each slide is created. The full deck appears in the side panel when generation is complete.
7

Review and refine

Open the slides in the side panel to review the full deck. If anything needs to change, you have two options:
  • Ask the agent - Type what you want changed in the chat. For example, “Make slide 3 more concise” or “Add a timeline slide after the roadmap.”
  • Edit directly - Click into slides and edit text, move elements, or resize content yourself. How this works depends on whether your slides are in HTML or Image format.
See Edit Slides (HTML Format) or Edit Slides (Image Format) for details.
If you have an existing PPTX or PDF you want the agent to match in style, import it as a template before generating. The agent uses it as a design reference. See Import Templates.
