Image-format slides are AI-generated images. You cannot click and drag elements like HTML slides. Instead, you have two editing tools: Text Edit (detect and change text) and Mark & Edit (draw regions and give the AI instructions for each one).

Text Edit

Text Edit detects all text in a slide image and lets you change it. The AI regenerates the slide with your new text while keeping everything else the same.

Open a slide

Click on the slide you want to edit in the slide viewer.

Click Text Edit

The system scans the slide and detects all text regions with bounding boxes. Each detected text appears as an editable field.

Change the text

Modify the text in any region. You can change one region or multiple regions at once.

Click Apply

The AI regenerates the slide with your text changes while preserving the original design, colors, and layout.

What Text Edit cannot do

  • You cannot change the font or font size. The AI matches the original style.
  • You cannot add new text where none exists. You can only modify detected text.

Mark & Edit

Mark & Edit lets you draw rectangles on specific areas of a slide and give the AI instructions for each marked region. The AI applies all changes at once.

Open a slide

Click on the slide you want to edit.

Click Mark Edit

The slide enters marking mode.

Draw rectangles on the areas you want to change

Click and drag to draw rectangles on the regions you want edited. They auto-number (1, 2, 3…).

Write instructions for each region

For each numbered mark, type what you want changed. For example: “Change the chart to a bar chart” or “Replace this image with a photo of a modern office.”

Optionally attach reference images

You can attach a reference image to any region for style guidance.

Click Apply

The AI edits all marked regions at once while keeping the rest of the slide untouched.

What Mark & Edit cannot do

  • You cannot mark regions smaller than a few pixels. The AI needs enough area to understand context.
  • You cannot undo individual marks after applying. You would need to regenerate.

What you cannot do with image-format slides

  • You cannot drag or reposition elements. Image slides are flat images.
  • You cannot resize individual elements.
  • You cannot use formatting tools (bold, italic, etc.).
  • You cannot add new content where none exists.
If you need precise control over individual elements (text positioning, font changes, element resizing), use HTML format when generating the presentation. HTML slides give you direct editing access to every element.
