HTML-format slides are fully interactive. You can click into any slide and edit it directly, without regenerating or leaving the chat. This page covers every editing action available.
Turn on edit mode
Click the Edit button above the slide preview in the side panel. This enables editing on all slides. Click it again to turn off edit mode when you are done.
Changes are saved automatically. After you make an edit, it is saved within one second.
Edit text
Click any text element on a slide to start editing. A cursor appears and you can type, delete, or replace the text.
You can also select text and apply formatting from the floating toolbar that appears:
| Format | What it does |
|---|
| Bold | Makes selected text bold |
| Italic | Makes selected text italic |
| Underline | Underlines selected text |
| Strikethrough | Draws a line through selected text |
Press Enter to start editing a selected element. Press Escape to deselect and return to the slide.
Move elements
Click and drag any element to reposition it on the slide. You can also use the keyboard for precise adjustments:
| Shortcut | Movement |
|---|
| Arrow keys | Move 1 pixel in that direction |
| Shift + Arrow keys | Move 10 pixels in that direction |
Resize elements
Select an element to see 8 resize handles around it: one on each corner and one on each edge. Drag any handle to resize.
Hold Shift while dragging to lock the aspect ratio. Images always preserve their aspect ratio regardless of whether Shift is held.
Edit images
Images on slides support three actions:
- Crop — Images use a cover fit by default. Drag the image within its frame to reposition which part is visible.
- Reframe — Adjust the visible area of a cropped image by dragging it to show a different portion.
- Replace — Swap out an image for a different one.
Delete elements
Select an element and press Delete or Backspace to remove it from the slide.

What you cannot do in the HTML slide editor
- You cannot add new elements. You can only edit, move, resize, or delete elements that already exist on the slide.
- You cannot change fonts or font sizes.
- You cannot change colors.
- You cannot add links to elements.
- You cannot copy or paste elements between slides.
- You cannot undo or redo edits. There is no Ctrl+Z support in the slide editor.
- You cannot zoom into an individual slide for precise editing.
If you need changes beyond what the editor supports, such as adding new sections, changing the color scheme, or restructuring a slide, ask the agent in the chat. It can regenerate or modify slides based on your instructions.
