What Gets Extended

  • Backgrounds expand outward from all edges
  • AI matches the existing scene style
  • Maintains visual consistency
  • Creates natural-looking extensions

Best Use Cases

  • Fix cropped photos (add back missing edges)
  • Expand landscapes for wider aspect ratios
  • Create more space around subjects
  • Convert portrait to landscape (or vice versa)

Result

  • Extended image appears as new item on canvas
  • Original image unchanged
  • Larger dimensions than original
  • Costs credits based on processing

Tips

  • Use descriptive prompts for better results (“blue sky”, “forest trees”, “ocean waves”)
  • Works best with clear backgrounds
  • Can outpaint multiple times to extend further
  • Combine with other edits for complete compositions
