Goal

Generate a 10–25+ page report that is structured, designed, and ready to export as PDF.

Steps

Open AI Reports in Runable

  • Navigate to the Reports section from the main chat interface
  • Or browse report inspirations at /inspirations/report

Select a report inspiration (recommended)

  • Browse pre-built report templates with multi-page previews
  • Click “Use Inspiration” to apply a template structure
  • Templates include summaries, analyses, case studies, and detailed reports

Choose a page range

  • 10–15 pages (Free & Plus)
  • 15–20 pages (Free & Plus)
  • 20–25 pages (Plus only)
  • 25+ pages (Plus only)
  • Default: 10–15 pages

Describe the report you want

  • Enter your topic, target audience, and desired depth
  • Be specific about the report structure and key sections

Add sources (optional but recommended for accuracy)

  • Upload files: PDFs, images, text files (max 50 MB per file)
  • From RunDrive: Select files from your cloud storage
  • Multiple sources supported for comprehensive reports

Click Generate

  • It begins generating your structured report
  • Real-time generation status displayed

Review and refine the report

  • View Mode: Preview the formatted report
  • Edit Mode: Toggle to edit mode for manual refinements
  • Editing tools available:
    • Text formatting (bold, italic, underline, strikethrough)
    • Headings (H1–H4)
    • Lists (bullet, numbered, task lists)
    • Alignment options
    • Image insertion (search, generate, upload, or URL)
    • Undo/redo functionality
  • Auto-save: Changes save automatically every 500ms

Export and share

  • Click the download button in the document header
  • Report exports as PDF with your chosen title
  • Share directly from your device
Note: Plus plan features (20–25+ page reports) require a subscription upgrade.
