Connect Runable to your Slack workspace and chat with the AI agent via DMs or channels. Conversations are threaded automatically to keep things organized.

Set up

1

Open RunClaw settings

Go to SettingsRun Claw in the Runable web app.
2

Click Connect on Slack

Click the Connect button next to Slack. This launches a Slack OAuth flow.
3

Authorize the app

Slack asks you to approve permissions for your workspace. Click Allow. The Runable bot is added to your workspace.
4

Start chatting

DM the Runable bot or invite it to a channel. Send a message and the agent responds in a thread.

How to use

DM the bot

Open a direct message with the Runable bot in your Slack workspace and send your request. The agent responds in the same DM.

Invite to a channel

Invite the bot to any channel. When someone mentions the bot or sends a message in a thread with the bot, the agent responds. All responses are threaded to keep the channel clean.

Upload files

Attach files to your message in Slack. The bot downloads them and forwards them to the agent as context, the same way file uploads work in the Runable web app.

What you get back

Responses stream in real time in the Slack thread. When the agent generates visual artifacts, it sends an “Open in Runable” link to view and edit them in the web app. The bot also has an App Home tab in Slack where you can see connection status.

What you cannot do

  • You cannot use interactive Slack blocks to control the agent.

Disconnect

Go to SettingsRun Claw and click Disconnect next to Slack. You can reconnect at any time.
